Foundation’s Initiatives
The Shashua Family Foundation’s Initiatives
At the core of the Foundation’s mission and strategy lies a dedicated focus on identifying, nurturing, and empowering entrepreneurship. The Foundation’s initiatives are grounded in professional expertise, thorough needs assessments, and the capacity to deliver precise and effective solutions. Thus, after years of engagement with at-risk children, youth, and young adults, the Foundation’s president established the first initiative in 2008 – named after Aharon Sandor. This initiative offers vital mentoring and guidance to individuals who, upon turning 18, find themselves without a support system after growing up in out-of-home settings. In 2019, in response to the Covid-19 crisis and driven by a sense of civic responsibility and solidarity, the Foundation established The Social Solidarity Foundation. This initiative aims to provide economic and social support to small and new businesses affected by the pandemic. Leveraging their experience and understanding of small business dynamics, The Social Solidarity Foundation developed an app that provides a unique platform for cooperation and support within the active small business network. Subsequently, The Social Solidarity Foundation evolved into the Foundation’s entrepreneurial arm.
