This privacy policy (Privacy Policy) regulates the way in which we, the Shashua Family Foundation1, use personal information (as defined below) in connection with your use of this website, including contacting us and submitting requests for financial support as specified in the terms of use (The Website or The Activity). Terms of Use. This Privacy Policy forms part of the Website’s Terms of Use [link] (Terms of Use). Any term that is not defined in this Privacy Policy will be interpreted in accordance with the Terms of Use.
Please note, this Privacy Policy is also available in Hebrew [LINK], which is the official and governing version. We operate in Israel and do not intentionally collect or process data from individuals outside of Israel.
Consent and Changes. You are not obligated to provide us with personal information, and you hereby confirm that providing your personal information is made by your choice and of your free will to use the Website, including your by submitting an application for financial support (hereinafter: Application). However, please note that if you chose to use the Website or submit an application, we will need identification, financial and other details in order to verify your identity, check the Application, your use of the support funds, if you receive them, and for other purposes as detailed below.
To the extent that, as part of submitting an Application, you provide personal information for and about another person, or regarding the organization on whose behalf you are applying, you hereby declare and undertake that you are legally authorized to provide this information and that you have the necessary authorization to do so. By using the Website or submitting an application, you agree to the terms and conditions of the Privacy Policy and to any collection, processing and sharing of personal information for the purposes specified therein.
If you do not consent to this Privacy Policy, please refrain from any use of the Website or participation in the Activity. We are entitled to change the Privacy Policy at our discretion at any time, and use of the Website means consent to the terms and conditions of the current Privacy Policy at that time on the Website.
The personal information we collect and how we collect it.
Personal Information is as defined in the Israeli Privacy Protection Law (1981), including information relating to an identified or identifiable person. For example: data about a person’s personality, personal status, intimate details of their life, health, financial situation, professional training, opinions and beliefs.
We receive and/or collect personal information from you in the following ways:
Contact details. If you contact us, for example by sending an online form that we will make available to you or in any other way, you will be asked to provide us with certain information such as your name, your email address and the content of your Application.
Submitting an Application and verifying information. Whenever you contact us or submit an Application, including through the Dedicated Form [link] on the Website, we will need to verify your identity and receive additional information about you. Among other things, we will ask for your name, your position in the organization in whose name you are submitting the Application, phone number, email address, etc. Please note that that any information you provide as part of this form will be saved, including information on the manner of filling out the form.
Information received as part of examination of the Application. In order to consider the Application, we may need additional details, including in relation to your financial situation, your professional position and any personal information, or other information, about you, the Application, or the organization on whose behalf you are applying. Among other things, data may be required in relation to third parties who are related to you.
Information received as a condition for providing financial support or after receiving it. In addition, as will be regulated in the donation agreement, if the Application is accepted, you will have to provide the Foundation, or someone on its behalf, with a receipt or invoice as a condition for receiving the support funds, as a refund for the amounts you spent in accordance with the aforementioned agreement, as well as additional information and data, as required.
Support by email and other means, including WhatsApp. We may enable contact with us through a variety of means and platforms, and therefore, any personal information provided within the various channels, including our business WhatsApp, will be saved and used for the purposes of checking the Application, managing the relationship with you and the purposes detailed in clause 2 below.
In general, the Foundation reserves the right to share and publish, in any place or platform and at its sole discretion, information regarding the donations it has made, ventures in which it has participated, and more.
Log files. We may use log files. The information that appears in the log files includes IP address, browser type, date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, filtering actions, clicks and any other information that may be provided to us from your browser, we may use such information for trend analysis, activity management, tracking user traffic in the activity and for the purpose of collecting demographic information.
Cookies and similar technologies. Within the Website and externally, we may use tools such as cookies and other tracking technologies, so that we can manage the Activity, present you with customized information and publications and improve your user experience. Cookies are small text files used, for example, to collect information about your activity on the Website in order to retrieve information previously provided. Certain cookies and other technologies may include information required to authenticate and identify users. As part of the proper operation of the Website, it is possible that temporary cookies are saved on the device from which the Website is operated. Most browsers allow you to control cookies, including whether or not to accept them and how to remove them. You can set most browsers to inform you if you receive a cookie file, or choose to block cookies using your browser/device.
Google Analytics. We use a tool called Google Analytics to collect information about use of the Website. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit the Website, what pages they visit when they do, and what other websites they used before arriving at the Website. We use the information we receive from Google Analytics to maintain and improve the Website. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. The manner in which we use personal information
The use of information provided by you and collected by us will be in accordance with this Privacy Policy or as required by law, for the purposes detailed below:
To allow you and others to use the Website, including submitting Applications.
To examine Applications, including in order to examine correctness of the information provided by you, including discovery and detection of violations of the Terms of Use, and, inter alia, detection of duplicate or similar Applications submitted by the same person (and/or someone on its behalf).
To review our donation process, derive insights, and enhance our handling of Applications
To contact you for the purpose of completing details, to update you with information that we think may be relevant to you or for other reasons.
We will also use your email address and any electronic or other means: (a) to send you any marketing / advertising communications that we think may be of interest to you (including via email and SMS) and to send you updates or news regarding our services or activities. If you are not interested in this, you can inform us by sending the words Unsubscribe from Mailings to info@shashua-foundation.org.il or by using the Unsubscribe option in the mailing you receive.

Without limiting from the above, you are aware and you agree that the Foundation may contact you in the future, including to complete details or for any other reason.
Sharing Personal Information with Third Parties
We will not transfer the information you gave us to third parties, except in the following cases:
With your consent or in case this is entailed in the Activity. For example, we may transfer information to service providers on our behalf who assist us in our Activities or are hired to examine Applications or related documents (for example, from accountants and professional consultants). Such information may also be transferred to providers in other countries, for example, cloud storage providers, including in the US;
Insofar as this is required as part of collaborations, functions, or other aids that will be made possible through the Website;
To suppliers who assist us in operating the Website, its security and its technological aspects. This information may also be transferred to providers in other countries, including the US;
In the event that you violate the Terms of Use or this Privacy Policy or the donation agreement (if signed with you) or if you perform actions deemed to be against the law, or attempt to perform such actions;
In the event of any dispute, claim, suit, demand or legal proceedings concerning us;
In any event the Foundation believes that the provision of the information is necessary to prevent bodily or property damage (to you or a third party) or in connection with an investigation into suspicions of illegal acts;
In the event the Foundation is required by law to transfer your details and the information collected about your activity on the Website to third parties, or as part of submitting an application, including if the Foundation receives a judicial order instructing it to provide your details or the information about you to a third party or in response to a request from an enforcement authority or government or another public authority.
If the Foundation organizes its activities within another corporation, it will be entitled to transfer the information collected about you to that corporation.
In addition, it will be clarified that the Foundation may publish in any form and in any media, at its choice and at its sole discretion, any information, including about its contributions, which does not include personal information (that is, does not include identifying information of a person).
Analytical Tools. The Foundation collects data and performs statistical analyzes about the use of the Website itself or through other companies, which collect and analyze information about the scope of use of the Website, the frequency, sources of access of Users to the Website, and the like. The collected information is statistical in nature, and is intended for analysis, research and control purposes, and the Foundation may use it, including transferring it to a third party, at its discretion.
Use of Anonymous Information. We may use anonymous information (which does not allow identification of an individual User, such as aggregated statistical information about the use of our website) or disclose it to a third party in order to improve our activities and improve the user experience.
Links to Third-Party Products. The Website may allow you to interact with or contain links to your third-party account and other third-party websites, apps and services that are not owned or controlled by us (each of them: Third Party Service). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of Third-Party Service. Please note that Third Party Service may collect personal information from you. Accordingly, we encourage you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any Third-Party Service you choose to use.
Security. The Foundation implements information security measures and procedures, which reduce the risks of unauthorized access to the Foundation’s computers. However, and although we strive to use acceptable and reasonable means to protect your personal information, the Foundation does not guarantee that the Website will be completely immune from unauthorized access to information. Your Rights and Protecting Your Privacy. We respect your right to privacy and wish to keep only necessary, current and accurate information. It is important for us that you know that you are allowed to review the information about you that we have, and whenever you find that this information is not correct, complete, clear or updated, you are allowed to contact us with a detailed request to correct or delete the aforementioned information, in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction. The Privacy Policy will be exclusively governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and only the court in Tel Aviv will have the exclusive jurisdiction over any claim in connection with this Privacy Policy.
Merger, Sale or Changes to the Corporate Structure. In the event that we are acquired by or merged with a third-party entity, or in the event of insolvency or a similar event, we reserve the right to transfer or assign personal information in connection with the aforementioned events.
If it is determined in a judgment or a final and decisive judicial decision that any part of this Privacy Policy is invalid, only that part will be void and all other parts of this Privacy Policy will remain valid and will continue to bind you.
